Ruatoria City Sports Club

Established in 1922, our club is one of New Zealand’s smallest rugby clubs - defying the urban migration and the player drain to reach this significant milestone.

It was in 1982 when Ruatoria City last won the East Coast club rugby competition. Our men fell short to a strong Waiapu side in the 2024 final, but we won the hearts of our community and helped reinvigorate the passion for club rugby on the Coast.

From catering to content, we operate on the back of our awesome volunteers. We can’t thank you enough!

Step into Ruatoria City Sports Club, join us and be part of something special.
